Traveling helps us broaden our horizons in life. Traveling brings joy, peace, and growth to an individual’s life. Traveling helps us to increase our experience and knowledge regarding nature, culture, and native communities. I have loved exploring nature since I was a child, which is how I developed the habit of traveling. I have had many travel experiences, but my trip to Cox’s Bazar was one of the most memorable.

Cox’s Bazar is a district in Bangladesh, a famous tourist center, and most notably, it is famed for having the world’s longest natural sandy sea beach. I first visited Cox’s Bazar in 2014. Since it was my first visit, I was enthralled. I went there with my family and relatives. We were a group of 15 people, and we took the bus to reach our destination. The distance from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar is 398 km, and it took us about 8 hours to reach our destination. The bus fare is only 900 Tk. Throughout the bus journey, I learned about different beaches and tourist spots that we would visit, such as Inani Beach, Kolatoli Beach, Himchori Falls, and Hill Track.

The entire bus ride from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar was fascinating, albeit tiring. However, as soon as I arrived, all of my fatigue dissipated as I gazed at the breathtaking natural beauty. I could hear the sound of the waves pounding against the shore. At first sight, I noticed rugged, steep hills on one side of the beach. It felt like the long journey had been entirely worthwhile. We visited the beach first. The spectacular view of the beach captivated me. The beach’s golden sand, waves, and endless gorgeous blue sky with white fluffy clouds combined to create a fantastic image. Walking along the beach barefoot on the muddy, soft sand was one of the most amazing feelings in the truest sense. We drank some fresh green coconut water while walking along the beach. The water was so sweet and refreshing that it helped quench our thirst.

Sea Fish

Another exciting part of the trip was eating seafood. I have eaten seafood before, but the experience of eating there was different. The fried sea fish was appetizing and mouthwatering. The aroma was fresh and amazing. Another interesting part was shopping. We went to the Burmese market and purchased many tribal-made handcrafted items. The dry fish market of Cox’s Bazar is also a mentionable one. Hundreds of types of dry fish were available there at a lower cost. Besides that, the quality of those dry fish is outstanding. Even though I was not too fond of the stench of dry fish, I had no choice but to go because my mother wanted to buy some.

We also went to Himchori to see the waterfall. Himchori is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Cox’s Bazar. This place is a combination of hills, a waterfall, and forests. We climbed the hill and reached the top to see the natural scenery perfectly. Climbing the hill was strenuous, but the magnificent panoramic view blew my mind away once we arrived at the top. All of my exhaustion vanished in an instant. The scenery of the infinite blue sky and the limitless sea blending at one point was extraordinary. I inhaled deeply, and the fresh, brisk forest air filled my lungs immediately. The chirping of birds, the rustle of leaves, and the freshness of the air uplifted my mood. I enjoyed the calmness of that environment.

Another favorite part of the entire trip was seeing Himchori Falls. I could hear the thundering waterfall even before I arrived at the exact location. I got goosebumps when I finally saw that waterfall. The crystal clear water cascading down, making its way through the hill, and thumping against the rock was overwhelming. I will never forget its stunning view in my life. We spent five days in Cox’s Bazar, and the experience of those five days was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

This was a very fascinating and memorable trip for me. Visiting Cox’s Bazar allowed me to enjoy the beauty of the infinite blue sea, the hills, and the rumbling waterfall all at once. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Throughout this trip, I have gotten to know more about nature and culture. I will always recall the beautiful moments I spent in Cox’s Bazar.
